1. Share a curated resource your list can benefit from.
Examples:
- An article or blog post
- A YouTube video
- A podcast epi
Super-rough email outline:
- Short paragraph summarizing the resource, and why the reader should consume it
- A link to check out the resource
- (Optional) a soft-sell for one of your offers near the bottom
~~~
2. A listicle or checklist to give your readers a quick win.
Examples:
- X ways to ___
- Y reasons why __
- Z ___ tips to help you ___
Super-rough email outline:
- Quick introduction (or just jump right into the checklist like I did in this very email you’re reading)
- Insert the checklist / listicle itself
- Optional call-to-action (e.g., “Speaking of _____, if you want to go deeper then check out my course here: [LINK]”)
~~~
3. Reprint an answer to a question you’ve already answered elsewhere.
(Credit due to the email writing OG, Ben Settle, for this one…)
Examples:
- How to _____
- “But how do I _______?”
- A great question about ___
Super-rough email outline:
- Frame the context (e.g., “Last week I got a great question about ______. Here it is:”)
- Reprint the question. (When in doubt, redact the person’s name who asked the question – or ask for explicit permission!)
- Copy & paste your answer into the email
- Transition into a relevant call-to-action

Have a great day!
