So yesterday’s email converted well.
I reported on it this morning on Twitter.
So today I’m sending you ANOTHER story-based email idea. (On top of the 3 I sent you yesterday.)
But I’m taking it a step further…
I’ve included a tiny, fill-in-the-blank template for you to use as a starting point.
Now. Can I guarantee this template will work if you use it on your list?
Of course not. And I hope you already knew that.
But what I *can* guarantee is that the *likelihood* of you generating a sale today is higher if you send an email using this template than if you don’t send an email at all – all else equal. I *can* guarantee that.
Let’s dive in:
1. Tell a story about how you handled a dissatisfied customer.
What better way to reassure prospects that, if they buy your thing and don’t like it, you will look after them?
Feel free to adapt this tiny, fill-in-the-blanks template:
=====
“Yesterday I got a refund request from a [insert your product title with a link here] customer. It hurt to read it.
My #1 priority is customer satisfaction. So here’s how I handled it:
_______________.
[Your product title] is not for everyone. For example, if you are ___________, don’t grab a copy.
But if you are ________ – and you feel confident you’re in good hands with me – then I invite you to [grab it here].”
=====
If you got value from this email, I have one question:
Hit reply and let me know the ONE struggle you’re facing as a business owner that makes you angry. No – pissed off. Demoralized.
What’s plaguing you every day in your business?
There’s usually something…
I’ll go first:
I’m frustrated by my sluggishness with developing new products. I’m an overthinker extraordinaire. And it’s costing me – big time.
This is a safe space. Reply if you feel comfortable.
Who knows: if it happens that I’ve already felt your frustration and overcome it, perhaps I can solve your problem quickly and easily. But if I don’t know what you need, I can’t help you.
The only catch?
If you reply, I might create a product or training or piece of content inspired by your answer. Rest assured that your response, of course, is 100% confidential and will be anonymized if reprinted.
